Lecturer of Biology/Assistant Professor of Biology
Southern Utah University, Utah’s designated public liberal arts and sciences university, is a comprehensive, regional graduate and undergraduate degree-granting university. Southern Utah University invites applications for the position of Lecturer of Biology/Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track position with a desired start date of August 16, 2016. Salary is commensurate with qualifications & experience; excellent benefits.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will teach lecture and laboratory courses in cadaver based Human Anatomy. Ability to teach any of the following courses is desirable but not required: Cadaver Practicum, Human Physiology, and Pathophysiology.
- Additional teaching assignments may be made based on departmental need.
- Professional service on departmental and university committees is also required.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications: An earned Master of Science in Biological Sciences or closely related field with at least 18 hours of graduate-level coursework in Biological or Life Sciences.
Desired qualifications:
1. Prior undergraduate teaching experience.
2. Experience teaching and working with human cadavers.
3. Experience using varied teaching and assessment techniques.
