Job Description:
The Diagnostic Imaging department is seeking a technologically diverse individual with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, as well as student learning and success who can teach a variety of courses within the department. Primary responsibility includes teaching core courses in Radiologic Technology program including clinical courses and labs such as; Principles of Radiographic Exposure, Patient Care, Radiographic Positioning and other courses. Visits to hospital sites are required in addition to compliance with the sites rules and regulations.
This position requires a wide range of professional responsibilities and activities, including participation in curriculum and course development, departmental planning, attendance at department and college meetings, participation on department and Governance committees, student advising and other duties as assigned. The responsibilities of the clinical coordinator can also be assigned as part of this position.
Instructors are expected to participate in College, Department and Accreditation assessment initiatives.
Teaching assignments may be on the Middletown or Newburgh campus or both as well as off site at clinical locations which can be day or night.
Requirements:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in related area
Experience Required: Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) current registration and NYSDOH License. Radiography experience in a variety of settings such as; Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Portables, Operating room and other areas. Teaching experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Additional credentials such as: Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography or other areas.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual skills

Salary: This is a 10 month Faculty position with a budgeted annual salary of $51,279 per the faculty contract.
