INSTRUCTOR VACANCY

ADJUNCT PHILOSOPHY INSTRUCTOR

FINAL FILING DATE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

LOCATION: MARYSVILLE CAMPUS, SUTTER COUNTY CAMPUS, AND
BEALE AIR FORCE BASE OUTREACH CENTER

SALARY: LECTURE RATE: $46.69 – $59.10 per hour (highest step of the
YCFA salary schedule: $82.66 per hour).

COMMENCING: FALL 2015

• Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Philosophy courses up to 9 hours/week

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum
qualifications stated below:

• Master’s in Philosophy OR
• Bachelor’s in Philosophy AND Master’s in Humanities or Religious Studies OR
• the equivalent

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for Part-Time Faculty positions in all disciplines and will be maintained on file for two (2) years.

REQUIRED DUTIES: Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic,
socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

EQUIVALENCY: Applicants must meet YCCD minimum qualifications by the filing date or have been awarded
equivalency by the District prior to the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
